Two Classic Boating events

2019. Lona is now based in Wemeldinge at the Oosterschelde, with the new super-convenient experience of going for a sail whenever suits us best. We look forward to discovering the wider surroundings here. Lona is shipshape, with no water coming in except for a few small attention points on the deck, and with new skylight, forehatch and cockpit covers. Minor things still to complete during the season are getting the AIS and the backup bilge pump properly connected.

Our 2019 season kicked off perfectly, with a sequence of two classic boat long weekends, first at Ostend at Anchor and immediately after that the Blankenberge Harbor Festival. Both events provided tons of atmosphere, shanty music, sunshine, interested boaties and good company.

The many fine reactions towards Lona made me decide to spend a bit of extra time in digging deeper in her history, starting with Pain Clark, her designer, and the William King yard where she was built.
