Water-rAnt 2017, the Antwerp maritime heritage event

For our last sailing weekend we sailed a grand total of 2 miles in 4 days, crossing the river for the biennial Water-rAnt that celebrates Antwerp's maritime history.

The first Antwerp dock the Bonaparte Dock (dug by Napoleon for conquering England!) welcomed 120 interesting classic boats, including some tall ships during a weekend from Friday evening to Monday morning. The Old Gaffers Association had 15 attending yachts, resulting as always in a magnificent friendly atmosphere, unique to the OGA. Our 49 visiting friends ranged in age between 83 years and a half year old.
